Christie Barnes has had successful careers as an author of New York TImes & Readers Digest acclaimed parenting guides and as the executor of the plays, movies and television of her late husband, the Oscar- and Emmy-nominated and award-winning writer Peter Barnes, with whom she worked in theatre, television and film for many years She is an acclaimed artist, selected for the elite international ART BASEL The Hive Emerging Artist, 2024, Miami. 2025, Barnes has been selected as one of three artists for Mills Gallery, along with Kristy Lee, artist and curator, and PJ Svejda, fine artist and owner of gallery Studio ArtFarm. Miami Art Basel Week Red Dot, Mana Wynwood Center Booth 600, showcasing a retrospective on the psychological principle of place.

Barnes was the July 2024 winner of the NEF Vodka International Art Award. She was also named overall finalist. She is sponsored at ART BASEL The Hive, as an emerging artist at the top art fair in the world. She also has international commendations for two years from the Luxembourg Art Prize and is starting to be covered by international art press.
